Team Spotlight with James Wadsworth
James Wadsworth is an Assistant on our Retail & E-Commerce Industry Team and has been with KS&R since 2019. He graduated from Le Moyne with a B.S. in Marketing & Information Systems.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team?
The team itself. I feel the team appreciates everyone’s hard work and helps each other when someone needs it.
How did you end up at KS&R?
After college it took me some time to find a job. After working 2 years at a well-known furniture company in their e-commerce department, I felt like I wasn’t using the degree that I worked so hard for. So, I decided to take a chance and leave for a job where I could use the degree that I obtained from Le Moyne college, and I can say the risk has paid off.
What advice would you give to yourself at age 15?
There’s always going to be homework. Also, invest everything you have into Bitcoin and then jump ship from it.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation. I would love to travel more and cut out the waiting that it takes to get to a destination.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Anything related to hockey. I grew up playing hockey as a child and I played all the way up to my last year of college. I made a lot of friendships and have many memories from different teams. Being able to travel for tournaments across the state was always fun, especially in between games when we got to hang out with our teammates. I feel I was lucky because a lot of my coaches didn’t just try to teach me how to play the game but shape me for the future. My favorite part would be the camaraderie with my teammates. That’s something I miss today, being able to hang with the boys off-ice or before stepping on the ice.
Aside from necessities, what is one thing you could not go a day without?
Coffee. I love coffee and that’s the first thing I want in the morning. I love trying new coffee shops and I’m always looking for a good cup of coffee.
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Tom Cruise or Matt Damon. I am a big fan of both of them and have watched most of their movies several times. I think they are great in spy films and movies that may not necessarily have as much action in them.
