What do you enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team?

I enjoy working with the people at KS&R on various projects and initiatives. Our industry is constantly evolving, and it challenges us to think of new ways to help our clients address the next big thing.

What brings you great joy in your life?

My family, of course! Our son will be a high school senior next year, and it’s been a joy and blessing to have him in our lives. He’s been involved in several athletic groups over the years, and we enjoy attending his events (especially when it’s not snowing, sleeting, or downright bitter cold in central NY)!

What advice would you give to yourself at age 15?

I think the best advice I would give my young self would be to not worry about getting everything right. While I did the accounting path and have a BS in Accounting, I only stayed in that role for a few years before moving into marketing research. I loved accounting, but my inquisitive nature fits well with marketing research—where I’ve been for the past 25+ years.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory was visiting my grandmother, Hazel. She was a schoolhouse teacher and loved children of all ages. Oh, the stories she would tell! I remember her voice, her smile, and the pure joy she would have from having the five of us kids gathered to hear her tales. She was full of enthusiasm.

How would your friends describe you?

I have known my sister-in-law, Blixy, since the second grade. She would describe me as upbeat, energetic, intelligent, precise, restorative, caring, friendly, protective, creative, playful, and hard-working (not necessarily in that order). Blixy is a true treasure. I wish everyone could have a friend like her in their life.

Aside from necessities, what is one thing you could not go a day without?

I’d consider coffee a necessity. I enjoy it every morning as I start my day. Coffee, along with my favorite YouTube channels, helps me craft new projects around my garden.

If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into a room for the rest of your life, what song would you choose and why?

Feeling Good by Michel Bublé. It evokes a feeling of renewal within me, a sense of accomplishment, and optimism. It is something I hope everyone can feel from time to time.
