#KSRCrew Spotlight with Lindsay Campbell
Get to know the people behind the insights in our #KSRCrew Spotlight series. We sit down with employees throughout the firm to learn about their experiences, background, and what makes them tick.
In this edition, we chat with Lindsay Campbell, Director of Retail & E-Commerce, with a bachelor’s in marketing & finance and an MBA from Le Moyne College. Discover what brings Lindsay joy in life, her favorite zoo animal, and other insights in this Q&A.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team?
I would have to say one of the things I enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team is the people I work with. I have made some lifelong friends at KS&R and have learned so much from them. The second thing I enjoy is the spontaneity of our work. There is not one week that is ever the same and I love that.
How did you end up at KS&R?
After graduating college, I moved back to Syracuse from Buffalo, NY to be closer to my family and to start my hunt for a career. I found a job posting in the local newspaper (yes, a newspaper!) for a Research Assistant at KS&R. I got the job 15 years ago and the rest is history.
What brings you great joy in your life?
I find joy in spending quality time with my husband and our two young kids. Just thinking about them now makes me smile.
In your opinion, what does the world need more of?
Overall, the world needs more kindness. Something as little as a compliment or a smile can be impactful to someone’s day.
Aside from necessities, what is one thing you could not go a day without?
My morning coffee. I am a big fan of flavored coffees, particularly anything with a cinnamon topping/flavor.
What’s your favorite zoo animal and why?
My favorite zoo animal is penguins. I think they are the cutest animals on earth and are so fun to watch. I once had an encounter with penguins at the New Orleans aquarium where I was able to feed and play with them. I was truly living my best life that day.
Would you rather live on the beach or in a cabin in the woods?
I’d choose the beach all day. I would love waking up to the sound of the waves crashing and the smell of the ocean air.
