#KSRCrew Spotlight with Lauren Tidman
Get to know the people behind the insights in our #KSRCrew Spotlight series. We sit down with employees throughout the firm to learn about their experiences, background, and what makes them tick.
In this edition, we chat with Lauren Tidman, an Insights Manager on the Healthcare Industry team, who holds a master’s in Experimental Psychology from Texas Christian University. Discover what brings her the greatest joy, the one necessity she can’t live without, and where she’d prefer to live in this Q&A.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team?
My favorite part of being a member of the KS&R team is the collaboration and camaraderie within the healthcare group, as well as within my immediate team. I always feel supported in my work. I also appreciate the relationships I’ve made and the people I’ve met all across the country from the work we do.
How did you end up at KS&R?
I started my career in market research – and I really loved it. When I decided to move on from my last job, I found KS&R and immediately found it to be a great fit.
What brings you great joy in your life?
One thing that brings me great joy is traveling. I love learning about different cultures and exploring other parts of the world—I spent a month in Europe last summer and will spend a few weeks in Japan this spring! I also love to spend time hiking, crafting, and doing yoga.
Aside from necessities, what is one thing you could not go a day without?
I’m sure everyone says this, but caffeine. I need at least one cup of coffee in the morning, and I’ve been drinking tea in the afternoons.
What’s your favorite zoo animal and why?
I recently went to the zoo and loved the red pandas – they are adorable and quite smart! My husband had to pull me away from them to see other animals.
What is the best/worst purchase you’ve ever made?
The best purchase I’ve made was probably my dog – who I bought off a farm when I was in college! It wasn’t always easy having a dog in college, but she’s my best friend.
Would you rather live on the beach or in a cabin in the woods?
I would choose a cabin in the woods – preferably in the mountains so I could hike more.
