KS&R Partners with Book Buddies to Foster Early Reading Skills in Local Community
KS&R is proud to announce its support of Syracuse City School District’s Book Buddies program, which aims to develop a love for reading and improve the reading skills of students in grades K-3. As Read Across America week begins, it is important to remember the significance of reading as it not only improves academic performance but also helps develop critical thinking, creativity, and empathy.

Book Buddies is an excellent way to become involved with the local community and make a difference in children’s lives,” says Mike Nash, KS&R President, and volunteer. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see the progress students make in becoming more confident readers, and I thoroughly enjoy celebrating their success with them. I hope that programs like Book Buddies continue to thrive and inspire more companies to get involved in similar initiatives.”

Book Buddies has returned to Syracuse City schools for the first time since the pandemic shut down the program. Book Buddies connects volunteers with students in grades K-3 in an interactive program to improve reading performance.
