Improving Resiliency
Over the past few years, companies are facing unprecedented challenges. A pandemic, climate crises, increased social and political conflict –issues that have all but made it impossible to conduct business as usual. Our client, a global leader in consulting, wanted to identify what actions can be taken and what attributes can be strengthened in order to increase the ability of a company to be more adaptable and succeed despite these challenges.
To better understand how organizations were handling these challenges, we surveyed over 2,200 C-Suite executives from large enterprises in over 20 countries. Our survey explored a variety of different functional areas (e.g., strategy, talent/workforce, technology) to find out what actions companies were already undertaking, planning, or not planning. We also conducted follow-up in-depth interviews with 10 executives to get a deeper understanding of the actions and strategies top companies are taking to strengthen their businesses.
Our results showed us that resiliency does matter – companies that were prepared, flexible, and ready to act early were able to weather the storm. We helped our clients identify key areas that business leaders can focus on to ensure resiliency. Our client transformed these findings into knowledge that they could pass on to their clients, helping them to better prepare for the next disruption, and creating talk tracks for account teams to use as relationship accelerators.
