What is your favorite part about being a Research Associate at KS&R?
I like working at KS&R because every day I learn something new and no two days are ever the same.
Has any brand connected with you or stood out to you in recent months? If so, which one and why?
Throughout the pandemic and now the Black Lives Matter movement, Ulta has done a great job staying connected with their customers while also doing what is right (both for the health/safety of their employees/customers and the BLM movement). Ulta stores were some of the first large retail chains to shut down during the pandemic but they were quick to send marketing blasts through email, Twitter, and Instagram to let people know they are here for them and online orders will be processed and shipped in the safest environment possible. They were vocal about the steps they were going to take to make that happen and that their employees' safety was their top concern. On May 30th they also announced they are donating to the Equal Justice Initiative as well as continuing diversity and inclusion training for their associates. Brands need to stay on top of current events and change with the times and Ulta is doing a great job of that.
Tell me a fun fact...
I had a Swedish exchange student my last year of high school who became like a sister to me (I am an only child), and had the opportunity to visit her in Sweden three times so far!
What is your biggest fear?
Anything creepy/crawly/bug like is going to be a no from me. I would have to say of all the bug like creatures, spiders really freak me out the most.
What would you change about yourself if you could?
I would make myself more patient.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
Either one of Kelly Clarkson's numerous hits or 'Sugar We're Going Down Swinging' by Fall Out Boy.
Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not?
I think it depends on the context. If it is a good surprise (i.e., birthday party, present) bring it on, but if it is a bad surprise (i.e., my boyfriend left the dishes for me to do), I'm going to say no thanks.
If you were ruler of your own country what would be the first law you would introduce?
A 4 day work week!
What was your first job?
I worked at Wegmans for 6 years through high school and college.
