Dave has been with KS&R since 2019 and is a Research Analyst on the Healthcare team. He graduated from Binghamton University with a B.S. in Integrative Neuroscience.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team?
The people. I place a high value on having positive relationships with my coworkers, and the people that I've met and worked with during my years at KS&R have made my time here both interesting and enjoyable. If not for the relationships I've built on the Healthcare team and across the company, I may not have stuck around following my apprenticeship - I'm very glad that I did!
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Getting a song to reach 2 million streams on Spotify. It's called ‘Work It Out' by Discofields - it was the first song that I sang on and shared to Spotify, and there will be many more to follow!
In your opinion, what does the world need more of?
Excitement for the achievement of others. I believe that openly sharing praise will only bring good things into your life. In the same breath, if you can allow yourself to be inspired by someone else's accomplishment, it's much easier to believe that you're capable of the same.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
Flight. I wouldn't need my car anymore and I'm not a huge fan of planes, so this is an easy choice. Also, who wouldn't want to be their own personal google map?
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Winning a state championship with my U18 hockey team. I played with a group of guys from all over Syracuse, which made playing against them in high school that much more fun. We were a group that ended up getting along very well, which was a big reason why we won the whole tournament. Also, staying in a hotel as a team was always one of my favorite parts of growing up playing hockey - it's understandably a bit wild when 20 teenage guys get to spend a long weekend together away from home.
If you could share a meal with any individuals, living or dead, who would they be?
Bob Dylan. For someone that wasn't a supremely talented singer, he wrote some of the greatest songs ever put to paper and was able to become a huge star. I'd love to hear about what his songwriting process was like because to me, some of his songs were simply genius.
Would you rather live on the beach or in a cabin in the woods?
Cabin in the woods. Growing up in Syracuse has taught me to appreciate the seasons, and I don't think I could deal with 80+ degree weather year-round. I love to camp and fish, and I enjoy the quietude of "roughing it" out in the woods/in nature… Although I still love a nice trip to the beach.
