What do you enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team?
I feel very lucky to be part of the team at KS&R, especially during these unprecedented times where I have felt supported professionally and personally by my colleagues and leadership. There is a great sense of culture and community within the organization. In my role specifically, I enjoy being able to combine creativity with business strategy, helping the firm to evolve in ways that best serve our clients and truly make an impact.
What brings you great joy in your life?
My daughter brings me the greatest joy of all. In addition to cherishing every moment with her, I love being with my dogs, playing tennis, working out, taking care of my plants, and generally just being outdoors. I live in Florida and I'm so grateful to be outside year-round, particularly at the beach!
What advice would you give to yourself at age 15?
Be present. It's easy to say but harder to put into practice, even today after years of working at it. I've been trying to include meditation in my daily routine to help, which is more challenging for me than any physical activity I've ever done.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Aside from my daughter (of course!), my proudest accomplishment would be playing at Wimbledon. I was top hundred in the world as a junior tennis player, and played for England, so representing my country and competing at the oldest and most prestigious tournament in the world was a proud moment. I appreciate it even more now looking back.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
I grew up in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. My extended family and our friends would go camping in the desert a couple times a month. We'd all load up our SUV's and spend the weekends in tents on the gorgeous sand, sledding down huge dunes, cooking over a fire, and spending uninterrupted time with people that we love. It was magical.
When you go on vacation, when do you pack your suitcase?
I used to be a night-before-the-flight type of packer. After having child, however, it all changed. I start planning what we need to take a week before the trip these days!
If money was no object, what would you spend your days doing?
If money was no object, I would have my own animal rescue and dedicate all of my time to being a voice for our furry friends that need it most.
