Project Managers take the lead or assist others in selecting the appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques to meet a defined business objective. They work directly with the client to develop the project schedule, define the research instrument (moderator's guide, questionnaire, etc.), develop an analysis plan and coordinate all communications. Internally, Project Managers coordinate company or partner resources ensuring the quality, timeliness and accuracy of deliverables. Upon completion, the Project Manager reviews the collected data, authors reports and makes business-oriented recommendations to the client. Project Managers may oversee one or more team members on project tasks, and may also have direct on-going supervisory responsibility of staff -- delegating and coordinating multiple concurrent projects.

Project Managers are expected to assist in achieving revenue and/or profitability objectives from new and existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assumes overall responsibility for work product including report delivery
  • Deepening existing client relationships, generating incremental business
  • Prospecting and developing new client relationships
  • Consulting with clients on business issues and research design
  • Developing insightful proposals and delivering strategic sales presentations
  • Communicating with clients to understand and document the business objectives
  • Selecting the most appropriate research methodology and techniques
  • Designing qualitative and quantitative research plans
  • Developing and managing project schedules and budgets
  • Effectively communicate higher level assignments, project status and priorities to Associates (and remainder of team)
  • Managing and mentoring others -- Identification of growth opportunities and career paths for direct reports
  • Escalation point for troubleshooting/problem resolution in relationships with IS/IT/INSITE/Support Staff/partners/vendors
  • As necessary participation in HR process/selection of team members
  • Use of SPSS for special runs or SQL for data queries (on pre-existing databases) to assist in story building
  • Makes independent judgments on data meaning and interpretation of business implications, oversees final report production and client presentation including making actionable recommendations
  • Making presentations -- answering questions authoritatively

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of marketing research experience, with relevant education (Master's degree preferred)
  • Practical experience with a wide array of qualitative and quantitative research
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
  • Strong leadership and client relationship skills
  • Strong analytic skills with experience in statistical modeling and analysis
  • Strong desire and ability to train and mentor team members
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
