#KSRCrew Spotlight with Luke Miltner

Newsroom

Get to know the people behind the insights in our #KSRCrew Spotlight series. We sit down with employees throughout the firm to learn about their experiences, background, and what makes them tick. In this edition, we chat with Luke Miltner, Tumble Team Associate, who is located in Atlanta, GA, and earned his Master of Marketing Research from the University of Georgia. Discover what Luke is most grateful for, how his friends would describe him, and more in this Q&A.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the KS&R team?

I realize that I may be giving the most classic answer, but my favorite part of KS&R is the people I work with. I love the opportunity to work with a variety of people and learn from all of their experiences/backgrounds!

How did you end up at KS&R?

My first exposure to KS&R was actually through a mentor I had while in school. He offered me academic and professional advice, which I am deeply grateful for to this day! A bit later our Chairman, Jay Scott, made the trip to Athens, Georgia to interview students from my graduate program at the University of Georgia. It meant a lot to me that he was willing to do that, especially at a point in time when almost all companies were interviewing virtually.

What brings you great joy in your life?

I rescued a cat in September of 2022, and he can be pretty ridiculous. He may not always be the most considerate coworker, but I love taking care of him.

What are you most grateful for at this moment?

I’m sure everyone thinks this about their friends, but I do think that I have the greatest group of friends. I’ve lived in Atlanta for about two years now, and I am so blessed by the friendships that have carried on into this new stage of life and the new ones that have grown in that time.

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?

I would choose teleportation in a heartbeat. Think of the travel savings!

How would your friends describe you?

I sent this question to my roommate, and he replied with a text that said, “plays a lot of disc golf”, which I won’t deny. He then said, “thoughtful and disciplined”, which is kind, and I certainly did not pay him to say it.

On a more serious note, I would also hope that my friends think of me as loyal. I know that I value a reliable friend more than anything.

What is the best/worst purchase you’ve ever made?

I have a purchase that was equally my best and worst – a ticket for Game 5 of the 2021 World Series in Atlanta. Even though we lost, watching my favorite team play for a championship at home was the experience of a lifetime.
