KS&R joined thousands of other community members in Syracuse, NY on Saturday, April 1st to stand with the American Heart Association during the Syracuse Heart Walk. The event raised money to fund cardiovascular research and education, reduce deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke and ultimately save lives. Rita L. Reicher, Patrick Taylor, Simon Gu, as well as Lindsay and Derek Campbell (pictured below) all walked with a purpose Saturday morning.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both women and men in the United States. The fight against heart disease and stroke is particularly important to KS&Rís President and CEO, Rita L. Reicher, who has family members that currently struggle with the disease. Rita has accepted a position on the board of the Central New York American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. She joined the "Executives with Heart" who each pledged to personally raise $2,000 in support of the Heart Walk.
