Rita L. Reicher, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board, President, Founding Partner

As a founder of KS&R, Rita brings 30 years of experience in the Market Research and Consulting field. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University, and her skills in advanced analytics and modeling are highly regarded by both clients and peers. As President of KS&R, Rita focuses on ensuring that KS&R is meeting clients' current and future information needs by continually assessing our service offerings, staff capabilities, IT foundation and our overall culture. Taking this leadership approach, she is confident that KS&R clients receive the highest quality research services and customer service that exceeds expectations.

Michael Nash, Principal & Corporate Secretary

Mike is focused on recommendations and action plans to inform clients' strategic initiatives. His international experience and consultative background apply to both qualitative and quantitative engagements, providing exceptional insights into B2B buyer behavior for technology, professional services and telecom clients. As a Principal, Mike serves on KS&R’s Board of Directors and is also a member of the firm’s Senior Management Team, as well as Secretary of the Corporation. Mike holds a BA in Economics from Hobart College and a Masters in Public Administration from Rockefeller College, State University of New York.

Jay Scott, Principal & Corporate Treasurer

Jay is a Principal with KS&R, and a member of its Senior Management Team, where he is responsible for client development and revenue planning.

He has over 20 years global experience in marketing research, including Manager and Director-level positions at FedEx and BellSouth. Jay has a broad consulting background, with extensive experience in product and service development, ethnographic explorations, advanced market simulations, segmentation and business case development.

Throughout his career, Jay has focused on assisting clients to maintain and strengthen their market positions, develop and build their brands, and identify opportunities for profitable growth. He has been a leader in the development of innovative research methodologies, and has authored thought pieces on Personas, Segmentation and B2B Panels.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Alabama and a Master's of Marketing Research from the University of Georgia.

Lynnette S. Van Dyke, Principal, Founding Partner

Lynne leads KS&R’s Qualitative Center of Excellence, and specializes in brand imagery, creative ideation and motivational research applied to marketing. She is a nationally recognized Master Moderator, and has conducted more than 3,500 focus groups and interviewed more than 40,000 people in groups and individually. Lynne holds an MA and BA from Ohio University, and certification in education. She has extensive training in group dynamics and projective methods. Lynne is known for applying creative research techniques to identify and deliver the “big ideas” for brand development and strategic planning.

Robert F. Mortenson, Ph.D., Principal

Bob has over 30 years' experience in the telecommunications and information technology industries. His background in management, technology, and research at AT&T and Bell Labs gives him a true insider's perspective on these markets. His Ph.D. in Mathematics provides him the skills for rigorous analysis. Bob leads a wide range of engagements, including competitive benchmarking, channel strategy creation, customer/market segmentation, and opportunity analysis.


Kristin L. Fischer, Principal

Kris brings 16 years of client management and research experience to KS&R. She specializes in brand tracking, loyalty and retention, product and service development, and concept testing for clients in telecommunications, technology and professional service industries. Kris manages several advanced choice-based research studies each year, and is skilled in interpreting and communicating results to various audiences, including executive-level management.


Joseph W. Snyder, Principal

Joe brings far-reaching experience in information systems, telecommunications technology and market-research data collection to KS&R. He guides daily operations of the KS&R INSITE resource center for data collection and information management, and has successfully managed studies across all industry sectors. Joe is an expert in achieving high levels of consent and response within short time frames and in cost-effective manners.

Chris Reimann, Principal

As a member of KS&R's Board of Directors, Chris brings over 15 years of B2B and B2C marketing experience in guiding clients on new product development, product usability, customer loyalty and VOC needs assessment. Having a background in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, he is skilled in applying proven creative approaches designed to answer client's key business imperatives. He holds a BA from St. Bonaventure University and an MBA from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.

Jim Kraus, Principal

Jim has Account Executive responsibilities for the firm's Technology and Financial Services practices. Jim has over 20 years of marketing experience, holding senior-level research positions at IBM, Prudential Financial, and Guardian Life Insurance prior to joining KS&R in 2006. Jim's focus over the past several years has been on global B2B markets where he has deep knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Known as a consultative, result-oriented researcher, Jim is very adept at applying proven methodologies in creative ways to improve his clients' business performance through development of market insights that lead to more informed decisions in the areas of brand strength and performance, value proposition/message development, product/service development and forecasting, price optimization, buyer behavior, and client satisfaction/loyalty.

Lucinda Burch, Principal

Lucinda's 15 years of marketing research experience includes client-side positions at American Express and CIBA Vision prior to her joining KS&R in 2009. With a focus on actionable research and business-driven implications, Lucinda is skilled at developing clear and concise storylines that integrate qualitative and quantitative research. She has experience in a range of methodologies from in-home studies to mobile research to advanced analytics. Lucinda holds a Master's of Marketing Research degree from the University of Georgia.

Mike Bard, Principal

Mike has a wealth of experience in conducting marketing research for technology and non-profit companies of all sizes and stages of development, from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 10 companies. In his 15+ years at KS&R, Mike has built and managed large, complex small business and consumer tracking studies. He has a passion and talent for uncovering valuable insights and actionable implications related to the customer experience, brand, NPS, customer lifestyle, and ad testing. Mike holds a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
